Obituary for Dorothy Ann Murray (Taylor)

Dorothy Ann Murray was born June 19, 1941 to the late Ethel and Raymond Taylor.
She was preceded in death by brother, Robert Taylor and grandson, Rico Collier.


The family moved to Columbus, Ohio where she was educated in the Columbus public school system. She studied Cosmetology and became a licensed beautician.

Dorothy was married and later moved to Detroit, MI where she worked at the Ford Motor Corporation. She was medically retired from the school system.

Dorothy moved to Fayetteville, NC with her son, Darryll and became a member of Beauty Spot Missionary Baptist Church.

Dorothy had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, sewing and dancing.

She leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Jerome (Sandy) Burton of Columbus OH; three daughters, Michelle Collier of Austell, GA, Natalie Collier of Columbus, OH, Toye Jackman of Coral Springs, FL; two sons; Michael (Getchine) Collier of Jonesboro, GA and Darryll (Elizabeth) Collier of Greensboro, NC; six granddaughters, Jenele Collier, Quianna Collier, Racquel Bransford, Naomi Collier, Nya Collier and Laylah Collier; twelve grandsons,Terrance Collier, DeArris (TaNeisha) Jackson, Antoine Collier, Brandon Collier, Dijon Doughrity, Darryll Collier Jr., Dante Collier, Micheal Collier Jr., Quinton Collier, Paul Collier, Nicholas Amos, Jeremiah Collier; great grandchildren, Briana, Kyley, Alaina, Jaydon, Josiah, Tatum, SaMya, Jael, Noah and Christian Nieces Yolanda (Richard) Hairston, Donielle Artese Taylor, Michelle Burton; nephews, Cameron Burton and Maurice Burton.
