Obituary for Jean B Brown (Brydsol)

Jean B Brown (Brydsol)
Jean worked as a secretary bookkeeper with Dr. C. Mason
Quick in Fayetteville, North Carolina for several years and
later at Bladen Central High School working in the same
capacity. She retired in Fayetteville.

Jean was married for 54 years to her loving hero, James L. Brown,
and to this union one son was born named Reginald Vernon Brown
who proceeded her in death.

Jean gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined Saint John
Missionary Baptist Church where she was an organist for many years.
Her favorite genres were classical and gospel, How Great Thou Art
being her favorite. She later joined Lewis Chapel Missionary Baptist
Church and remained a devoted member until her demise. When in
attendance, she served as a faithful member of the Mission Group.
Jean was a soft-spoken, friendly, beautiful person who never met a
stranger. She and her husband, James enjoyed traveling throughout
the country, sitting on the dock of fishing sights admiring nature as
the sun set, collecting antiques and more specifically, salt and pepper
shakers. She had a house full. In short, the simple pleasures truly were
the best. James says of his lovely wife, she was my champion.

Jean leaves to cherish the blessed life she lived: her husband, James
Brown of Raeford, NC; her sister, Claudia F. Montgomery (Lawrence)
of Eldersberg , MD; nieces, Adrienne Montgomery and Penelope M.
Benjamin (Lawrence); great nieces, Domonique Wilson and Hakeem
Wilson; a great-great niece, Alivia Booker; a special cousin, Bernice
and her husband Charles Bennett, special family and friends.
