Obituary for Patricia Nicole Featherston (Shepherd)

Patricia Nicole Shepherd Featherson left this life to return to the open spiritual arms of the Creator on July 23, 2018.

Patricia was born on November 30, 1982 in Fayetteville, NC to Willie and Rene Shepherd. When Patricia walked into a room, her smile lit up the room and everyone spoke to her. As a child and teenager, Patricia was the life of the party and always getting into trouble with her brothers and cousins. As she got older, she made a special place in her heart for her children, nieces and nephews.

Patricia Shepherd graduated from Westover High School with honors, earning her B.A. in Child Education from Fayetteville State University in 2017. She wanted to open a daycare as her love for children was always huge.

Patricia met the love of her life Steven on January 26, 2007 and had a first date at Applebee’s'. She dated him until his deployed to Afghanistan. She knew by then they were meant to be together. They were married on September 16, 2011 after his return.


Patricia is survived by her husband, Steven Featherston, four children: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Alexander and Christian, father: Willie Shepherd, grandmother: Joann Foster Shepherd, brothers: Alton, William and Tre Shepherd, cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
