Obituary for Ronnie Russell "Philly B" Brown

Ronnie Russell Brown, the son of
the late Major A. Brown, Jr. and the late
Betty Jean Brown. Ronnie was born
October 14, 1962 and departed this life September
15, 2019.

As a military brat, Ronnie spent his childhood
traveling to various states and even lived in Panama
with his family before settling in Fayetteville, NC.
Ronnie attended Cumberland County schools.
Ronnie was affectionately known by his friends
as “Philly B”. Ronnie loved to fish, as a testament
to his love for fishing, he had recently purchased a
boat and had planned to spend time out on the boat
catching fish. Ronnie loved sports.
Ronnie was a long distance truck driver and spent
many years on the open road before deciding to
retire and come home to be with family and loved
ones. Ronnie was a devoted father, brother, uncle,
papa and a loving friend to many. Ronnie was loved
by many.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memories: one
precious daughter, Patricia Pollard of the home;
one brother, Charles Dozier of Wilmington, NC; two
sisters, Jacqueline Brown Ramirez-Martinez and
Joyce Brown both of Fayetteville, NC; his fiancé,
Sharon Parnell; one uncle, Houston L. Brown of
Birmingham, Alabama, a host of cousins, nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
